Youth Group Scoop
The Youth group meeting for January had the kids using their creative talents with candy. What do you have when you add frosting, graham crackers, sprinkles, candy canes and a bunch of other colorful candies? Eight excited and energetic youth group students. I bet you thought I was going to say Ginger bread houses...well we did have some pretty amazing gingerbread houses too. The kids broke off into three teams and had about a half hour to create their dream gingerbread house. We had one that was about two feet tall. I will have pictures available on the bulletin board soon. We also played a game of red light green light and had discussions about friendships.
We will be participating in the "Souper Bowl of Caring" on Sunday, February 7th. This free will offering will be collected after the 8:30 and the 11:00 services. The kids have decided to send the money collected to help those in Haiti. They have also decided to give by helping out at the humane society in our community. Be looking for our youth group kids and their "soup pots" after both services on super bowl Sunday.
We will be celebrating Valentines Day together on February 14th with a Youth Group Party. We plan to make Valentines, play air hockey, ping pong, and other fun games and eat yummy treats. We hope to see all Youth Group students that evening from 6-8 pm in the Youth Group room.
We are enjoying spending time with these spectacular kids. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
