Though they cancelled their meeting in August, the Session held a special meeting after worship on a Sunday morning to deal with two important matters.

First, they received Dona Hair into membership on Profession of Faith and authorized the Sacrament of Baptism on her behalf. Originally from Canada, Dona (pronounced “Donna”) and her husband Stan moved to Port Angeles from Sequim. They spend the winters in Oklahoma with family and in south Texas. Her baptism will take place in September as will the recognition of her membership. Please welcome her warmly.

Second, the Session accepted “with reluctance” the resignation of Donna Baldwin from the Board of Deacons, Class of 2011. In her letter of resignation, Donna cited matters in her personal life that needed to be addressed and would hinder her ability to serve.
