Message from the Pastor

We recently began an ambitious construction project to enlarge our Fellowship Hall and kitchen as well as to make our building more accessible and friendly for those who have mobility issues.  Follow the progress of construction by clicking on "Pastor's Blog" at the top of this page and see the changes taking place.

Preparing for Construction to Begin E-mail

Early September – Getting Ready – While waiting for the final loan approval, there was work to be done by members of our congregation to get ready for construction to begin.   While there were a number of people involved, a few deserve recognition.

Paul_SmithsonPaul Smithson brought his backhoe to remove some of the plants around the building that were designated for new homes.  Paul expertly removed the plants without damaging them so that congregational members could replant them in their yards.

George and Martha McLean spent many hours over several weeks working with others to box up the kitchen items and to remove doors and other items to be saved.  In addition, George removed some of the beautiful interior woodwork in the Fellowship Hall for use in other parts of the building.   George saw to the careful removal of the Fellowship Hall windows as well as the cabinets in the kitchen.

Some of the carpet squares from the Fellowship Hall were removed and installed on the second floor to replace the worn carpet there.   We thank everyone for their work in preparing for construction to begin, saving us time as well as money.
