Message from the Pastor

We recently began an ambitious construction project to enlarge our Fellowship Hall and kitchen as well as to make our building more accessible and friendly for those who have mobility issues.  Follow the progress of construction by clicking on "Pastor's Blog" at the top of this page and see the changes taking place.

Construction Begins! E-mail

Construction began in earnest on Tuesday, September 13th, when work began in three key areas – the Fellowship Hall, the kitchen, and the ramp.  Flowers were dug up, sidewalks were demolished, and bricks were removed.

IanWe are very fortunate to have a great team working on our behalf – architect Bill Greene from the Lindberg and Smith Architects firm and Ian Andrews of our church family, who was appointed as our on-site supervisor.  Ian has phenomenal experience in managing construction projects, including representing the City of Peoria, Arizona, on the building of the Seattle Mariners training facility.

Prior to construction beginning, I was lamenting all the changes that were going to be happening in our building when a young man doing a project in the Fellowship Hall told me “If you are going to make an omelet, you will have to break some eggs.”  I took that to mean that we cannot hang onto the way things are and still reach the goal of how things will be.  As these photos show, the eggs are being broken and the omelet is going to be wonderful!
