SEPTEMBER'S WORSHIP

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH, 8:30 & 11:00 A.M. Pastor Ted's sermon “Maintaining Healthy Relationships” is based on Mathew 18:15-20. We can easily slip into unhealthy ways of relating, even in the Church. Matthew 18 gives us a process of how to restore health.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH, 8:30 & 11:00 A.M. Pastor Ted's sermon “A Godly Amount” is based on Matthew 18:21-35. God’s forgiveness is unlimited to us as ours should be to others.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st, 8:30 & 11:00 A.M. Ben King, Missionary to Turkey, will be speaking.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th, 8:30 & 11:00 A.M. Pastor Ted's sermon “Keeping Promises” is based on Matthew 21:23-32. The parable of the two sons is an indictment against the religious leaders who said and thought they were doing God’s Will but were not.

NEW PICTORIAL CHURCH DIRECTORY PHOTOS TAKEN THIS WEEK

Sign up today for an appointment to have your photo taken for the new pictorial directory. Photos will be taken this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Those who have photos taken will receive a free 8x10 Signature Portrait plus a church directory. There will be a no-obligation opportunity to purchase additional pictures.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

Three exciting opportunities for nurture and education will be available to adults during the Sunday School hour (9:45 - 10:45) on Sunday mornings.

1) Starting next Sunday, Todd Haworth will be leading a study on Galatians in the large room upstairs

2) For five Sundays from September 21 through October 19, parents of young children (roughly third grade and under but you decide) will gather with Pastor Ted Mattie in the room adjacent to the nursery for conversation and fellowship

3) Beginning on September 28 and continuing through October 19, Shirley Cruthers will provide leadership training for those who will be helping with the worship services at Park View Villas or in our own sanctuary.

Everyone is invited to participate.

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL TO START ON SEPTEMBER 7TH AT 9:45 A.M.

Children will be meeting downstairs in the gathering room for songs and devotion. We will continue with the workshop format, utilizing the art room and the game/drama room. We will start the year out with Paul and his activities throughout Acts. Making fruit, playing games for prizes and a courtroom drama are likely to unfold during the next month. Come and see how the love of Christ affects us all!

WANTED: If you are interested in selecting books to be put on the cart and wheeling it into the fellowship hall on a monthly basis, please let the office know.

WORSHIP AT PARK VIEW VILLAS BEGINS THIS SUNDAY

Next Sunday will be the first of our monthly worship services at Park View Villas. The 45-minute service begins at 1:15 and will be similar to the service we hold in our sanctuary. Pastor Ted Mattie will be the preacher next Sunday. He will also preside over the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.
